Should I give my pet treats or tinctures?… What about topicals?

A tincture can be administered in two ways: straight into your pet’s mouth or mixed into their meal. When the tincture is ingested directly, it is sometimes absorbed quickly into the circulation system and may bypass the GI system. Results may be seen within 20 minutes, although the benefits do not last as long as the “mixed into their meal method.” When a tincture is blended with food, like in our dog treats, it is processed by the digestive system and the liver. It will take longer to see the benefits (up to 1-2 hours), but they will persist longer (usually 6-8 hours).
