CBG, also known as Cannabigerol, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid with antibacterial properties that can modify the overall effects of cannabis. It binds to the CB1 receptor with modest affinity. It is still uncertain if CBG has any pharmacological effect on the CB2 receptor.
CBG was the first cannabinoid discovered. CBG contains antifungal, antibacterial, antidepressant, and pain-relieving effects and, like CBD, is non-intoxicating.
