CBN, also known as Cannabinol, is a moderately psychoactive cannabinoid formed by the breakdown of THC. A fresh plant often has very little to no CBN. CBN binds both the CB1 and CB2 receptors weakly, with the CB2 receptor having a higher affinity than the CB1 receptor. A sedative effect is a common way to characterize CBN’s impact.
